2004 B&T Awards for Outstanding Public Libraries Baker & Taylor, Inc.( 12/29/2003 )
Once again Baker & Taylor and FOLUSA will partner with the American Library Association
to honor a Friends group with the most creative use of ALA
@ Your Library campaign logo and/or slogan during the 2003 calendar year.
Three awards for $2,000 each will be presented to Friends groups for outstanding
activities and support for their libraries.
If your group has not joined the Campaign for America's Libraries sponsored by the American Library Association, visit ALA online for logos and press materials to help you get started at ALA @ Your Library.
Two additional awards of $2,000 each will be given based on outstanding activities
by a Friends group during 2003, one to a "Small Library Friends" and one to a
"Large Library Friends."
Full award details, including application criteria, will be featured in the February issue of the FOLUSA newsletter and online in The Friends Zone at www.folusa.org beginning mid-January. Winners will be honored during the 2004 ALA annual conference in Orlando, FL in June 2004.
Start thinking about your activities, programs, and projects to be included in your application. All entries must be postmarked by May 1, 2004 to be considered.
