Random House has established the official On-Sale Laydown Date for all formats of My Life by Bill Clinton as 6/22/2004 at 12:01 AM. It is absolutely imperative that all purchasers abide by the national on-sale date of June 22, 2004. If re-sellers, libraries, or other organizations receive copies prior to June 22, 2004, they must ensure that all formats of My Life by Bill Clinton are kept secure and not placed on the selling or library floor. My Life by Bill Clinton can NOT be sold, distributed or leave your secure environment prior to the on-sale date. This includes distribution to staff and distribution of complimentary copies.

For Libraries:
The earliest ship date allowed to an individual library will be 6/16/2004. No consumer or patron may receive any format of My Life by Bill Clinton prior to 6/22/2004. Any violation of the on-sale date will result in Random House's possible refusal to early ship your account any further Random House new release titles for a period of up to 12 months. Instead, the new title releases will ship after the titles original on-sale date. Random House intends to monitor this important laydown closely. We appreciate your complete cooperation. Please be aware that the strict On-Sale Laydown Date set by the publisher is June 22nd. No copies are to be displayed or circulated prior to Tuesday, June 22nd 2004. Failure to comply with this date may result in the loss of all Early Ship privileges in the future.

For Retailers:
All distributors, suppliers, RDCs, retailers, and online retailers, as part of the publisher's terms of sale, are expected to enforce this policy with all of their retail customers and locations. Baker & Taylor will make available a blank copy of the Laydown Agreement to the Retail accounts who will be selling My Life by Bill Clinton. The accounts must fill out and return the form to their distributor. The distributor will keep a record of these signed forms, and Random House reserves the right to request proof of such signed forms if any reseller does not honor the strict on-sale date.

The affidavit can be faxed to Baker & Taylor at 1-704-998-3316 no later than June 15, 2004. Failure to return the affidavit may result in not receiving early shipment of the title. No copies are to be sold or displayed prior to Tuesday, June 22nd 2004. Failure to comply with this date may result in the loss of all Early Ship privileges in the future.
